multiple accounts
can't you make the widget let me send from multiple accounts... without having to run multiple instances of the widget for different accounts? sometimes I want to send from gmail.... other times from aol.... and even other times from my sbcglobalyahoodsl accounts.

Hi Philip. The widget currently doesn't support this functionality, though there have been requests to add it.
Our primary concern with this approach is that once we add this feature we'll be moving out of the widget domain and we'll essentially be building an application. this in turn raises a good question, why don't we just build a real application?
now that's something we'll have to sleep on :)
Pb with Yahoo acount
I have to face the same problems... "Couldn't send" from yahoo! account and "@" drops to subject.

That goes for anyone else who's having trouble send from Yahoo! accounts. We're very keen to work with people to get this issue sorted.
DashMail not working at all
Using a MacBook Pro (Intel) 17", I just did a maiden OSX installation (yesterday). DashMail was the first widget i installed. But could not get it to work.
I do have accounts at GMail, two ones, both not working. Same for AOL. Same for a third-party freemailer (GMX.NET) - all not working.
I have used it behind a corporate firewall - while all freemailer access pages load in an ordinary web client, this one doesnt... It does not work in my homne environment, either.
Response time for "couldnt send" is 3/10 of a second, so to me it looks like that your service does not even "leave my building", i.e. the problem has nothing to do with the mail services...
Some ideas:
What can i set up / influence myself? Do you take the network general settings in the main system preferences, to connect? Or anywhere else? Would a dedicated proxy settings dialogue in your app help maybe?

Italian keyboard too

I love this widget but I am having problem with my Yahoo account too and with my Italian keyboard: when I press alt-and the @ button, I jump to subject.

I'm using it sucessfully with Gmail, so I know it's working. I try to stay away from Yahoo as a matter of personal policy. :)
Hopefully they'll get it all working for you Yahoo folk soon.
Can't get it to work
I can't get Dashmail! to work for some reason. I'm entering my yahoo email address and password correctly and trying to send a test email to my hotmail account but it will not work....help!

Well that has to be annoying! This is where we have to admit that our testing department took the day off on foreign keyboard testing day (lazy so-and-sos).
We'll look into it to see if we can't get a fix out for this problem as soon as possible.

Problems when writing in norwegian
Hi.
Thanks for making a great widget. But there is one minor problem....
When I write my messages (in norwegian), I suddenly jump back to subject when ever I type å (next to p on a norwegian keyboard), ø (next to l) or æ (next to ø).
Is this maybe because you do not support the norwegian typeset?
Norwegian letters "æ, ø, å" again..
My friends and I are really disappointed that we had to delete "Dashmail" due to the fact that the small problem with using norwegian letters as mentioned earlier at this forum renders the app completely useless to a whole nation:(
