That's right. We've done gone changed the name again. DashMail is fast, smooth and more Dashboardy. We hope you agree...

Well, it seems we made a bit of a mistake. Turns out the the Mac community already has a QuickMail. As a result we've had to change the name of our brand new widget to SwiftMail.

Oh well, quick (or should we say swift) slap on the wrist and we learnt our lesson!

New website, new albums, release party... what next!? We'll tell you what's next - it's a brand new widget!

That's right. We've just released QuickMail so that you Mac users out there can easily send short emails from your dashboard. If todays downloads are anything to go by this one's going to be a pretty popular widget.

We've done a lot of testing of this one but if you find anything wrong with it or you just want to send us your thoughts and criticisms please contact us.

Also, a quick note of thanks to Howard Katz for all his work in helping us to get the bugs ironed out.

After many a long night working till all hours of the morning our new site is finally live. There are lots of new goodies for you to have a play with. Other than the pretty new site you get two new widgets as well as a new version of the Mail Checker widget. Then, of course, there's the music.

Unfortunately we can't sell you CDs until next monday as we're waiting on the bank to activate our merchant account. Meanwhile you can check out the new widgets and get a taste of the music on the releases page.

My guess is that all this new stuff happening at once is going to keep us on our toes for the next week while we get all the issues ironed out. Let us know if you have any problems and we'll do our best to get things sorted as quickly as possible.

We've updated the Scue widget so that it now a) works again and b) runs through Feedburner. You can download the new version from the widgets page.

Obviously there has been a lot of work done since we started this blog. We've now moved the blog into our new Drupal site. Unfortunately that means that a) Feed Burner is no longer working and b) the widget is still looking at the old blog. We'll be sorting out both of these issues within the week.

Rumor has it that The Axis Of Cool will be played on Radio@ctive this weekend as part of New Zealand music month. I believe it will be appearing on the Caffeine & Aspirin show - sometime between 9am and 1pm Saturday morning.

Of course you can just download and listen to it now if you can't possibly wait that long.

oh my lord how fast things get done around here. we're clearly obsessing over our new blog - why else would we create a widget to keep you updated on what's going on?

I've been working with Drupal a bit recently on projects for other people and I thought it was about time we got some benefit out of it ourselves. Drupal is an opensource CMS project that has contributors from all over the world. The actual code itself is lovely and modular, making it nice and easy for people like us to extend and twist it as we please.

The hope is that it should allow us to get our new site up and running much quicker.... we'll see!

About a year ago Will decided to step out of the mainstream to purchase his first Mac and it wasn't long before I followed suit.

There's something about that elegant OS X interface that really inspires a person to go forth and create. For me that creative burst came in the form of a Dashboard Widget called Gmail Checker. Truth be told I think we were both somewhat surprised at the popularity it gained. It even managed to take second place in a beauty contest.

Don't worry, it's not a one off. In fact, we have another one just on the horizon...but more on that later :)
